How I Stopped Binge Eating, I Learned To Enjoy Eating More Fruit & Veg

Make Friends with Fruit & Vegetables & Salads –

These foods really can be your best friends in becoming and remaining Lean for Life.

In America – people actually die of malnutrition they are over fed but undernourished which creates constant craving's because the body is not getting its needs met so sends out hunger signals

I believe when you educate yoself about what is in our foods and how they have changed over the last 50/100 years – then you will have more motivation to include them in your every day life

As Hippocrates said ;

''Let thy Food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food ''

New discoveries of components in fresh food that can actually help prevent diseases:-

  • Antioxidants – contained in foods like blueberries, strawberries, broccoli, spinach, butternut squash, sprouts & kiwi fruit. Green tea contains an antioxidant 200 times more powerful than vitamin E & 500 times more powerful than Vitamin C
  • Natural immune booster – Shiitake Mushrooms
  • Genistein (shown to inhibit cancer cell development) – Soyabean products
  • Lycopene (to help reduce risk of prostate, lung, breast, stomach, colon cancer) contained in tomatoes
  • Ellagic Acid – is found in pomegranates, can encourage cancer cells to die

  • Salads
  • Tomato with herbs, diced cucumber and grated carrots celery raisons and diced apple
  • Smoothie's add details of you favorites
  • In winter – and Summer smoothies are a great way to have your fruit.
  • Ratatouille, Stir fried Chinese vegetables, and all kinds of other vegetables sliced thinly steamed or lightly fried
  • Tinned Tomatoes, and soups
  • Asparagus on its own or with cous cous
  • Mushy peas
  • Cabbage soup – variants
  • Stir in sauce / tomato garlic
  • Sweet & sour / balsamic vinegar
  • Asian Mangoes, paw paws cherries strawberries and raspberries
